Why solar works well in Murray Bridge

What you need to know about the local network
Two things catch people out in this area, and we handle both as part of your installation.
Flexible Exports: Since July 2023, every new solar system in South Australia has to support Flexible Exports. Rather than a fixed export limit, your system’s cap moves automatically depending on how much solar the local network is carrying — usually allowing up to 10 kW per phase, dropping toward zero when the network is congested. In practice most customers export more over a year than they would under the old fixed limit. It needs a compatible inverter and an internet connection.
Smart meters: If you don’t have a compliant smart meter, one needs to be installed before your system can be switched on. That’s arranged through your electricity retailer, not through us or SA Power Networks, and it’s the single most common cause of delay between installation day and the system actually running. We flag it as early as possible so it’s underway before we arrive.
Single or three phase: Plenty of Murray Bridge properties are three phase, particularly on larger blocks and anything with a shed or workshop. It affects which inverters and batteries suit you, and it changes what’s possible with blackout backup. We check this at the site assessment.

40 kWh GoodWe battery added to existing solar
This customer had a working solar system and wanted genuine energy independence to go with it. Rather than replace what was already there, we AC-coupled a 40 kWh GoodWe battery system alongside it — a substantial amount of storage, well beyond a standard household battery.

9.975 kW system — full upgrade to current technology
This customer wanted their whole system brought up to date, with better reliability than the ageing gear they had. We installed twenty-one Trina Solar Vertex S+ 475W panels for just under 10 kW of capacity.

How we work
Step 1 Free site assessment
We look at your roof, switchboard, meter and shading, and we’ll ask for a recent electricity bill so we can size the system around how you actually use power rather than a guess.
Step 2 A quote you can understand
Itemised, with the rebate shown separately and the expected performance stated with its assumptions.
Step 3 Installation.
Usually one to two days on site. Typically around two weeks from accepting your quote to a working system, with network approval and the meter change being the two steps outside our control.
Step 4 After we leave.
We’re twenty minutes away. Warranty and service calls don’t go into a queue behind metro jobs.

Only if it’s set up for it. That needs additional equipment and a decision about which circuits stay live. Essential circuits backup — lights, fridge, internet, some power points — is the common approach, but whole-home backup is achievable with enough battery capacity and inverter output. Tell us early, because it’s much easier to design in than to retrofit.
