General

What services do you provide?

How can I get a quote?
You can request a free, no-obligation quote by calling us at 0426 243 414 or filling out the online form on our Contact Us page. We will request a recent electricity bill for any solar quotes.

Are you a NETCC Approved Seller, and what does that mean for me?
Yes. The New Energy Tech Consumer Code is the national consumer protection standard for solar, battery and EV charging retailers, administered by the Clean Energy Council. As an Approved Seller we're committed to honest advertising with no pressure selling, clear itemised quotes with no hidden costs, installation that meets Australian Standards, and honouring warranties and handling complaints promptly. Which areas do you service?
Most of South Australia. We operate from two bases — Tailem Bend in the Murraylands and Redwood Park in Adelaide's north-east — covering the Adelaide metro area, Adelaide Hills, Murraylands and Riverland. See below for detail on specific areas.
Do you install in Adelaide and the northern suburbs?
Yes. Our second base is at Redwood Park in Adelaide's north-east, so Tea Tree Gully, Modbury, Golden Grove, Salisbury, Elizabeth, Gawler, Angle Vale and the surrounding northern suburbs are all local for us. We also work right across the metro area — Norwood, Magill, Burnside, Glenelg, Marion, Semaphore and Brighton — as well as the Adelaide Hills and Mount Barker.
Having crews based both in Adelaide and the Murraylands means we're not driving past you from the other side of the state, which matters most after installation when you need someone back on site for a service or warranty call.
Do you install in Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend and Meningie?
Yes — the Murraylands is home turf. We're based on the Princes Highway at Tailem Bend, so Murray Bridge, Meningie, Mannum, Monarto, Callington, Wellington and Karoonda are all local work for us rather than an out-of-area callout. Being nearby matters most after installation, when you need someone to come back for a service or warranty issue.

Your solar and battery system must be installed by an accredited person for it to be eligible for government incentives, so this isn't just a credential — it's a condition of your rebate.

How does solar power work?
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity through photovoltaic (PV) cells. This electricity is either used immediately, stored in a battery for later use, or sent back to the grid for credits on your energy bill.
Is solar power reliable?
Yes, solar power is highly reliable. Modern solar panels are built to last for decades, and they can continue to generate electricity even on cloudy days.
Are there any government rebates for solar systems?
Yes. Two federal programs reduce what you pay upfront — Small-scale Technology Certificates for solar, and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program for battery storage. Both are applied as a discount on your system price, and both reduce on a published timetable, so the value falls the longer you wait.

Why should I choose solar energy?
Solar energy reduces your electricity bills, decreases reliance on the grid, and contributes to a cleaner environment. With the added benefit of battery storage, you can maximise energy independence.
Does South Australia have enough sunlight for solar panels to work effectively?
Absolutely! South Australia is one of the sunniest regions in the country, making it an ideal location for solar power systems to thrive.
What is Flexible Exports and does it affect me?
Yes, it affects every new solar system in South Australia. Since 1 July 2023, all new installations must support Flexible Exports, and this now applies statewide including rural SWER lines.
Instead of a fixed export limit, your system's cap adjusts automatically depending on how much solar the local network is carrying — typically allowing up to 10 kW per phase, and reducing toward zero when the network is congested. Most customers export more over a year under Flexible Exports than under the fixed limit that applies without it.
It requires a compatible inverter and an internet connection so your system can receive the network signal. We handle the SA Power Networks application as part of your installation.

Battery Storage

What is a solar battery, and how does it work?
A solar battery stores excess energy generated by your solar panels. This stored energy can be used during the evening, on cloudy days, or during power outage.
What size battery do I need?
The ideal battery size depends on your energy consumption and solar panel output. Our experts will help you choose the right battery for your needs.
Can I upgrade my existing solar system with a battery?
Absolutely! If you already have solar panels, we can add a battery storage solution to maximise your system’s efficiency.
Should I get a battery, or just more panels?
It depends on when you use power. If most of your consumption happens after dark and you're already exporting a lot of surplus during the day, more panels won't help much — you'd just be exporting more at 5 to 8 cents. A battery lets you use that energy yourself instead, which is worth roughly what you'd otherwise pay to buy it back.
If you're on a small system, use a lot during daylight hours, and have roof space, extra panels can be the better first step.
Two things currently tip the balance toward batteries in South Australia: export rates are low and network charges can apply to daytime exports, and the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes a significant amount off the upfront cost. We'll model both options from your actual bill and show you the numbers.
How long does a solar battery last?
Most modern home batteries are built to last 10 to 15 years. The batteries we install carry manufacturer warranties ranging from 10 to 15 years depending on the brand, and battery warranties are usually expressed three ways at once — a time period, a total energy throughput or cycle count, and a guaranteed capacity retention at the end of the term. Whichever limit you reach first is where the warranty ends.
We'll show you the full warranty terms for the specific battery we're recommending, in writing, as part of your quote.
Why should I consider a solar battery?
Solar batteries can help you save more money on your energy bills, reduce your reliance on the grid, and provide backup power during outages.
What happens if there's a blackout — will my system keep running?
Not automatically, and this surprises a lot of people. A standard grid-connected solar system shuts down during an outage for safety, so it can't feed electricity into lines someone may be working on. That applies whether or not you have a battery.
To keep running you need backup capability — a battery plus the switchgear that safely disconnects your home from the grid and keeps it powered independently. How much of your home stays live is a design decision, and you have options.
Essential circuits backup is the common approach: lights, fridge, internet and selected power points. It's cost-effective and covers most of what matters in a short outage.
Whole-home backup is achievable with the right system. It depends on your battery capacity, the continuous and surge output of the backup inverter, and your actual loads. It typically means a larger battery, or more than one. We'll size it against your real consumption and tell you honestly what it will and won't carry.
We can also configure your system so your solar keeps charging the battery during an extended outage. That's the difference between a few hours of backup and riding out a multi-day event — worth thinking about if you're on a rural property or a SWER line where outages tend to run longer.
If backup matters to you, tell us early. It affects which battery we recommend and how your switchboard is set up, and it's far easier to design in than to retrofit.

Installation Questions

How long does it take to install a solar system?
Most residential installations take 1-2 days. Larger or more complex systems may take a bit longer, but we’ll provide a timeline specific to your project.
Can I install solar panels on a flat roof?
Yes! We use specialised mounting systems to ensure optimal angle and efficiency for flat roofs.
Do I need a smart meter, and who arranges it?
Most likely yes. If you don't already have a compliant smart meter, it'll need to be installed or reconfigured before your system can be connected and start earning a feed-in tariff.
Smart meters are arranged through your electricity retailer, not through us or SA Power Networks. We'll tell you what's needed and coordinate the timing, but the retailer controls the appointment — and honestly, this is the most common cause of delay between installation day and switch-on. We'll flag it as early as possible so it's underway before we install.
Will my roof support solar panels?
Before installation, our team conducts a comprehensive assessment to ensure your roof’s suitability, including its structure, orientation, and shading.
What is the typical installation process?
Our experienced installation team will handle all aspects of the installation process, from system design to final commissioning.
How long from quote to switch-on?
Typically 2 weeks from accepting your quote to a working system. The sequence is: site assessment and design, SA Power Networks connection approval, installation (usually 1 to 2 days), and then meter configuration by your retailer.
The installation itself is the quick part. Network approval and the meter change are the two steps outside our control, and we'll give you a realistic timeline for your specific job rather than a best case.

Cost & Savings

How much will a solar and battery system cost?
Costs vary depending on the size of the system and your specific needs. Our team will provide a detailed, obligation-free quote tailored to your energy requirements.
Are there government incentives or rebates available?
Yes! Our Federal government offers various incentives and rebates to help reduce the upfront cost of solar systems. We’ll guide you through the process to ensure you maximise your savings.
What feed-in tariff will I actually get in South Australia?
Less than most people expect. South Australia has no government-mandated minimum feed-in tariff — rates are set by individual retailers and change without notice. As at July 2026, most SA retailers were paying between 5 and 8 cents per kWh, and many plans cap how much you can export at that rate each day, with anything beyond the cap paid at a much lower rate or nothing.
Network charges can also apply to energy exported during the middle of the day.
This is why we size systems around your actual consumption rather than around maximising exports. The power you use yourself is worth what you'd otherwise pay for it — considerably more than the export rate. We don't control feed-in rates and can't guarantee any particular one.
How much can I save with solar panels and battery storage?
Your savings depend on your usage, your tariff and your system size. We model your expected savings from your actual electricity bill and show you the assumptions behind the numbers in your quote.
What is the Cheaper Home Batteries Program and how much is it worth?
It's a federal incentive that reduces the upfront cost of an eligible home battery. It's delivered through Small-scale Technology Certificates and applied as a discount at the point of sale, so there's nothing for you to claim.
It was introduced to cut around 30% from the installed cost, and since 2026 the discount has been tiered by battery size. Your battery must be on the approved product list, installed by an SAA accredited installer, and capable of connecting to a virtual power plant — though you're not required to actually join one.
The key thing to know: the discount steps down every January and every July until the program ends in 2030. We calculate the exact amount for your system on the day we quote, and tell you how long that figure holds. See our "Rebates & Incentives Explained" page for more.

Maintenance & Support

Do solar panels require maintenance?
Solar panels are low-maintenance but should be cleaned periodically to remove dirt and debris. We also recommend professional inspections every few years to ensure optimal performance.
What warranties come with my system?
Three layers. Our workmanship warranty covers the quality of the installation for 5 years. Each component carries its own manufacturer warranty — panels, inverter, battery and mounting all differ. And your rights under Australian Consumer Law sit on top of both and can't be excluded.
Battery warranties in particular are worth understanding, because they're expressed three ways at once: a time period, an energy throughput or cycle count, and a guaranteed capacity retention at the end of the term. Whichever limit you hit first is where it ends.

My inverter has failed. Do I need to replace the whole system?
Not necessarily, but it's often the better option. If your system is ten years or older, the panels will be a fraction of the output of current ones — we've replaced 1.5 kW systems with 13 kW on the same roof. A failed inverter is also the natural moment to consider a battery, since you're already having the switchboard and metering looked at. We'll price the repair, the like-for-like replacement, and the upgrade, and let you compare.
What happens if something goes wrong after installation?
Call us first, whatever the issue. We'll diagnose it and tell you which warranty applies. If it turns out to be a manufacturer claim, we manage it on your behalf — you won't be sent off to deal with a supplier yourself.
We aim to respond to service enquiries as soon as possible.
What's your complaints process?

If we haven't resolved it to your satisfaction, you can escalate to NETCC, which investigates alleged non-compliance by Approved Sellers, to Consumer and Business Services SA or the Clean Energy Council.
